The weeks of Memorial Day and 4th of July are some of the biggest vacation weeks of the year. So what does that have to do with marketing one’s business?
This is the time of year some businesses slow down, because key decision makers are on vacation.You know how it is; the week before they’re busy getting ready for their vacation and the week after, they’re busy catching up. Basically almost a month of business can be lost.
What can drive you crazy is learning the different people in an organization that you need are on vacation at different times during the summer? That’s when I’ve heard, “We’ll just have to get back with you in the fall.” What?
So,what can you do?
1st – Have a marketing system (plan of action) to fill your sales funnel automatically.
2nd – Either you set aside the time or assign someone (inhouse or outsource) to carry out the marketing.
3rd – Track the response and ROI, make modifications if necessary and continue to work your system.
When you go on vacation, make sure you launch your special vacation marketing campaign. That way you’ll have business coming in while you’re out.
Remember to include your competitive advantages in all your communications.
