Good Morning
A great way to get noticed and boost sales is to tie sales with current events. You see companies become an “official sponsor of fill in the blank” (Dallas Cowboys, Olympics). It usually costs money to do this.
Businesses also tie in to news events. I know a flag store that went out last weekend to events and sold flags, including the Confederate flag. Every four years 7-11 conducts a political preference poll on the 2 main parties’ presidential nominees. They ask people to buy a Slurpee with the picture of the nominee they like. They sell a lot of Slurpees!
We are at the start of what is going to be a very long political season, before people get burnt out, now is the time to tie your business, products or services to it.
To find out what other current events can you tie in to, you can read the local newspaper, regional and national news sources and keep track of community events. If you can’t find anything that you can tie in to, look up national days. For dentists a good week to promote is the second week in August, which is National Smile Week. August is also
- Family Fun Month
- National Catfish Month
- National Eye Exam Month
- National Golf Month
- Romance Awareness Month
And that’s just a few of the events I found in under a minute.
What events can you tie your business to and how can you use it to boost your sales? Send me an email and let me know. If you need help, just ask.
Till next week,
Great Things Happen, But You Have To Take Action, NOW!
