Keeping In Contact

Good Morning,
Last week I wrote about developing your communications plan. Now is the time to put it into action!
There is a good chance that your business will be affected by what is happening. Here are some steps you can take now to stay in contact with your customer base so that when this crisis passes, most of your customers will come back.
Clean up your customer list. Make sure you can export your list to other computer programs.
If your customer relationship management (CRM) program lets you do broadcast emailing, that’s great! Use it to send updated business hours and other changes to your operations. If you don’t have a CRM, you can do it by signing up for an email service (Constant Contact, Mail Chimp).
When you write your email, check your tone. Be aware of not only what you say, but how you say it. Also check your automation campaigns; do you need to change them, tweak or cancel them?
Along with the emails, a good idea would to be to write your customers a letter on paper and mail it to them (in case they don’t read your emails). Receiving a paper letter can really make a big (good) impression on your customers that they will remember.
Also, keep up with your social media pages. Put your updates there as well! Remember to also use your Google My Business site to the fullest.
Start putting together a monthly 2 page (one sheet of paper, both sides) newsletter. A printed newsletter will be read and kept longer in your customers’ hands than an email, one which could be deleted unopened.
If you need help with putting these and other ideas in to action, just contact me!
Till next week stay healthy,
