Good Morning
First off: Just wanted to let you know Forest Ridge Funeral Home had a great turnout for hosting the HEB Chamber’s networking breakfast “Good Morning HEB.” Now on to other things: Happy Labor Day!This coming Monday is Labor Day, the day that we celebrate the working person, although a lot of the people who should be celebrating with a day off will be working.
Labor Day is also the unofficial end of summer and the start of fall. Soon we will be into the holiday season and end of year.
With that said, now is the time to start planning for the holidays. What, if any, sales will you have? Will you have any Black Friday, Small Business Saturday or Cyber Monday specials that you will be promoting? I can hear it now – “But Phil, my business is different”, or “We do not have sales” and let’s not forget, “I’m a professional; we don’t do such things!” Poppycock!!! Any and all businesses can have special promotions. I know of law firms that give out pens, coffee mugs, books they have written, free reviews and more. I know a few C.P.A.s that promote their books and do public speaking. Financial planners, free planning guides or free reviews.
There is a ton of stuff you can do to boost sales and income. All you have to do is look around and see what others are doing (not necessarily in your field or area). And now is the time to get started before you run out of time. If you need some help getting started, just contact me. I can help you.
The important thing, no matter what, whether you do it by yourself or get some help, is to get started now!
