Last week I was at my multi-day mastermind meeting, and it was great. If you really want to get ahead, you need to have a coach and be part of one or more mastermind groups.
I purchased a new laptop with Windows 10 (currently using a computer running XP). I’ve moved some programs over, and it was time to move over Outlook and my emails. But first I had to go through my emails to get rid of the old and useless emails. I had to go through about 20,000 emails! I got rid of a lot of emails. In fact I did wholesale deletion. It took me until Wednesday to finish.
Ok, now you know what I’ve been doing for the last few days, but why should you care? If you market or promote your business by email you should be a bit worried. There is a good chance that yours was one of the emails that I deleted unopened and also unread!
This is happening all the time to business’s emails, maybe not by wholesale deletion, but deleted unopened just the same.
What can you do to make sure your email gets opened, read and responded to?
To stop people from deleting it, have an attention-grabbing subject line, personalize it and make it interesting to the reader so they will want to read your message. Remember, readers only care about themselves or WIIFM.
