Impress Your Customers

Good Morning

Here is a very easy way to impress your customers, especially your new ones.

Send them a handwritten thank you note by U.S. mail.

I know a lot of you would want to send it by email because it’s easier. Yes, it is, but it’s cold, impersonal, very easy to overlook and not appreciated nearly as much by your customers.

Now when you write your note, use this formula, instead of just saying thanks for your business.

Praise the deed first. Next tell them why you are thanking them. Then put the thank you last and in the background.

An example would be:

Sally, you made the right choice!

The xx will solve the problem you had. If you have any questions, please feel free to call me. You’ve been a great customer. It’s been a pleasure serving you. Thank you.

I look forward to serving you again!

Phil

With this handwritten thank you note, always include your business card.

It should take you less than 5 minutes to write and address the card, and it will make your customers feel that you really appreciate their business, which you do!

Let me ask this: When was the last time a vendor of yours sent you a thank you note? And if you got one, how did you feel?

Isn’t it about time you sent some out!

When you start sending them out, let me know how it works out for you.
