I hope that everyone had great and restful holidays and you’re all ready to get back to work.
I’ve talked to a number of business owners who came back and then realized that they had very little business and plenty of bills due. So with that in mind, I have a few tips for increasing business.
1) Take Action with a plan – Go to leads groups and chamber events, network, get out of the office and meet people. Send out post cards, flyers, sales letters, do pay per click ads, get the word out. Before you go blindly into the night, develop a plan.
2) Have a strong Unique Selling Proposition (USP) and blend it into your stories.
3) When producing any media piece, telling your stories or delivering your elevator speech, you have to answer the following questions:
“What do I have to say within the 1st 2-5 seconds to get them to continue to read or listen to me?”
“What am I going to say to them and offer to them, to get them to call me or take some other action?”
