We all want more customers and that our competition would disappear. Even if we do say that competition makes our businesses better.
Well you can get rid of what I consider your number one competitor, YOU!
What do I mean? You with your mindset, your behavior and what you do can be one of your biggest competitors or roadblocks to being more successful. Do you feel you are at a competitive disadvantage? Have you ever thought, “We could never charge that,” “We have to discount that because (insert reason),” or ” We can’t do that.” With this kind of thinking you are giving your competition an edge.
You need to get rid of that thinking. You can do that by being part of a mastermind or CEO roundtable, attending a conference, working with a coach, visiting other businesses outside your market area, even reading books and literature. All this helps clear out the mind and gets you into the right mindset. You and your company can not be complacent, lazy, uncreative, slow to change or feel entitled. Know that most business competitions are not won so much as they are lost.
