It should take only a few minutes to read this weekly email, so stop what you’re doing, grab a pen and paper to make some notes on what action you will take by reading this email, even if it means sending me an email.
When I consult with clients on what they should send out as a mail piece, I usually suggest that they take a radical approach. That they do something that no one else in their industry does so they would get noticed.
Case in point: I have a program that is proven to get businesses new customers. It takes a novel approach, and most businesses are afraid to try it not because of the cost (it cost less than $2 per letter to send out and you send out about 300 letters per month) but because no one else is doing it!
The point is that everyone is running with the pack. They are afraid to try something different. They don’t want to make waves with their competitors. Tough! People are not in business to keep their competition happy; they are in business to make money!
What about you? Is your marketing/advertising blending into the crowd? You remember the old saying that I think every mother once said: “If everyone jumped off the roof, would you?”
Don’t be like everyone else! Do counter marketing/advertising. Give people something to talk about and you’ll get business.
