Good Morning
If you want to stay in business, you have to know your customers and when they purchase from you. I started marketing the pizza store a little over a month ago. I have tried newspaper ads, free standing inserts to 70,000 homes, outdoor signs at the street level, and social media. Sales have increased, but not enough. The research shows that 93 percent of Americans eat at least one pizza per month. The core pizza consumer is age 18-44. Households with children as well as with household income of $75,000-$99,900 are the biggest pizza users. Also on any given day 20% of American children eat pizza.
OK, so people eat pizza. So why aren’t sales better? Research also told me that June, July and August are the slowest months — it’s hot outside!
We do not know if our slow sales are due to the weather and time of year, our marketing or maybe lack of targeted marketing, or some other reason. So starting today we will be conducting a community survey. With this questionnaire we will find out how people choose their pizza place, who they currently use, how often they order and other information. For their time and help they will be entered into a weekly drawing for 2 medium pizzas with their choice of topping.
We need to know all about our customers in order to serve them better and increase sales. How well do you know your customers, and could you be increasing your sales by knowing them better?
Till next week,
Great Things Happen, But You Have To Take Action, NOW!
