Your marketing, school buses and cops

Good Morning Contact First Name
As you read this weekly email, grab a pen and paper and make some notes on what action you will take by reading this email.
Vacation time and summer is almost over. In areas around here (Texas) most schools start this coming Monday. That means people get back to work and traffic increases. Beware of cops in school zones and stopped school buses.
So what does this mean to you and your business? It means that almost 2/3 of the year is over! If you have not planned out your advertising/marketing for the fall/winter, you still have some time left.
Now is the time to start planning for next year! Yes, next year. If you start now you will get it done quickly and start on it this fall. That way you will get a jump on your competition. Wouldn’t that be nice?!
Fun Facts:
Average response rate among existing customers: 3.4% direct mail vs. 0.12% for email (test data from Direct Marketing Association).
70%+ of consumers polled reported opening and looking at (deciding to read or toss) nearly all their print mail, including what they identify as “junk mail” (DMA, 2014).
