Reconnect with your email list

Good Day
Before I get to this week’s marketing tip I want to share an email I got from my friend Larry Forbes:
“I started A Little Love From Texas several years ago, which allows people to put gift cards into the hands of the people who need it most after a disaster NO STRINGS ATTACHED rather than through an agency that takes a portion for administration fees. I work directly in the area with a person I can trust to distribute the cards directly to victims of the disaster.  Sometimes that has been a minister and other times Rotary Clubs.
A friend who runs Adopt a Platoon and was a great help to my son when he was shot in Afghanistan has asked me to set up a network to distribute gift cards in Rockport and Port A.  I have set up the network and will be shipping his group’s cards to Corpus Christi on Monday
Here’s how it works: Get a gift credit card or Walmart gift card and put it in a small envelope with a note of encouragement. On the outside write A Little Love from North Texas or Your State. Then place that  in  a #10 envelope and mail it to

Now on to this week’s tip.
Do you have an email list of customers? Has it been awhile since you contacted them? Would you like to make more sales?
If you answered yes to the above questions, then it’s time for you to reconnect with them. You need to reestablish your relationship with them that will keep them responsive and create a positive experience for them and will not turn them off.
How to do it? Offer them something that will make them happy!
Here is one thing you DO NOT want to send them – COUPONS!
By sending them coupons, you tell them that you are a discounter, and that’s not good for your business.  Now what can you offer to reestablish the connection that will make former customers happy, smarter or at least interested in you and your business? Remember you want them to look forward to receiving your emails and not unsubscribing instead.

Until next week,
