Branding or ROI

Good Day
A friend called me yesterday and said he needed some help. His company was going to send out welcome post cards to new businesses in the area. A great way to make first contact in a non-sales and non-threatening way.
He was designing a 4×6 inch post card and I told him that a 4×6 card would get lost in between the business envelopes and might not be seen. A  5 1/2 x 8 inch card was talked about as a good size card to use, as it would stand out and be seen.
The other point we talked about was, instead of just a branding card or feel good card, to turn it into a direct response card. We could use it to direct them to a special landing page where we capture their name, company and email address (all for further marketing via email) in exchange for something of value (special report, ticket to free event).
Or we could make the offer on the card and have them call the office.
Now we can track how well the cards would do and establish an ROI.
He’s going to work something up based on our conversation and present it to his boss. He’ll let me know how it goes, and I’ll let you know as well.
