It’s almost that time of year again!
The time of year we make resolutions or promises. You know, I’m going to exercise every day and lose 10 pounds, I’m going to eat healthy. I’m going to write thank-you notes every day, make calls and be more proactive about getting the word out about my business.
And you know as well as I what happens — You do it for 1, 2 days maybe even a week or two, then something happens and you stop. And before you realize it, 3 or 4 months have passed.
We all need help to stay on track and keep focused. As business owners and entrepreneurs we get distracted very easily by any shiny object. We are like the dog in the movie UP when it hears or sees a squirrel.
We all need someone to keep us on track, an understanding family member, a trusted colleague, partner, coach or adviser. The big question is who do you have and if you don’t have anyone, why not?
