You Have To Do It!

Good Day
I had a really bad day yesterday. At home we found a wet spot on the carpet by the air conditioner where our 11-year-old dog sleeps. We put newspapers down and blamed the dog. Then I noticed that outside by our front door the porch had a puddle that I had swept up the day before. Looking closer, I saw the water was coming from the wall by the front door. Inside the front hall closet, the carpet was soaked. I pulled every thing out, left the door open and headed off to the office deciding to take care of it later.
The supplies I had ordered last week, which are normally shipped out on Friday, did not get shipped until Monday. They should have shown up Wednesday but did not. I’m hoping they get here today.
Then I got to my lunch time leads group when I got a call from my office that a man from Oncor was there to shut off the power. So I rushed back to the office to find out the building’s old owner had ended their service and asked Oncor to transfer the service to the new owner. But something happened and the new owner did not get it done, and the new owner is out of the country for the next 3 weeks! We got hold of the now-former owner, explained the situation and got her to agree to keep the power on.
Last week the gas company came by, but could not get to the meter, so they left it on. I wonder when the city will come by to turn off the water.
Then my employee’s husband got sick so she left to go take care of him (he’s OK), and I lost a half day of production.
I got home and had to fix (I hope ) the air conditioner water problem. I think the drain line was plugged and again I think I got it unplugged. Now the fan is going, drying out the carpet. I told Tess our dog I was sorry for blaming her for the wet carpet.
When I got done, I just wanted to sit back after a drink and forget about the day and do nothing more.
So what does all this have to do with your business and a marketing tip to increase your customer base? Sometimes no matter what happens to you, no matter how you feel, you still have to get up and promote your business. You are the chief marketing officer of your business, a job no one else can do as effectively as you.
By the way, want someone who will not quit on you helping you get the word out about your business? If so, let me know. I won’t let anything stop me from getting the job done.
Until next week,
Great Things Happen, But You Have To Take Action, NOW!
