Are you standing around with baited breath?

Did you or someone you work with ever make the comment, “We contacted them once, and they did not respond; why should we waste money contacting them again?”

 Because the truth is, people are not standing around with baited breath waiting for your message to arrive. I’m sorry, but it’s true!

 People are doing things. It’s what David Ogilvy called the moving parade of interest. They don’t care about you or your message now, but tomorrow or the next day something might happen in their lives to make them interested. So you have to get in their face again and again.

 Also, people are more careful about spending their hard-earned money, so you have to show up more often, with more reasons they should spend their dollars with you.

 You have to earn their attention now! You’re not entitled to it just because you just showed up once.
