This week I would like to talk about some of the elements that make for a successful offer.

I believe that when you market your business, you should strive to generate a response, whether it’s a lead or a sale. You need to get a response; otherwise, you’re just wasting your hard-earned money.

Your offer is a major part of your marketing, and knowing the different elements and how to use them can mean the difference between generating leads and sales and branding.

Your offer is everything you’re willing to give to get a person to respond. It’s not only the product, price or free gift; it’s the whole proposition you make that motivates your customer or prospect to take action, and it answers the question: What’s in it for me?

One element you should have is The Deadline.

You have to create a sense of urgency. A deadline moves the procrastinator. A deadline can be a time deadline (call before 5 pm for our early bird extra 20% off) or a quantity deadline (we have only 5 more left) or an incentive (first 10 to call will get a free gift).

Another element is The Guarantee.

The guarantee takes the risk out of the hands of the customer or prospect and puts it onto you. It reassures them they are making the right choice and differentiates you from your competition.
