Glazer-Kennedy Info-Marketing Summit 1st day

It the end of the 1st day of the Glazer-Kennedy Insider’s Circle Info-Marketing Summit. I am in Baltimore , Inner Harbor area. The summit starts at 8 am  and ran until 8:30 in the evening.  Dan Kennedy started with a talk title “build it right and they will come” He gave us a basic rundown on the points that you need to include when you are putting together an informational product. We are not talk parts (dvd vs. cd). Dan talked about the purpose of the product, it’s a customer developement vehicula, so that you can have a customer for life.

A good take away point was when Dann talked about the 2 sales that take place when you sell and informational product. The 1st sale is when a person purchased the book, DVD, CD, workbooks, etc. The 2nd sale takes place when they open the book or package and how to get them to open it. You have to resale them again get them interested in the product again.

How many times have you purchased a book, DVD, workbooks from a seminar that once you got it put it down some where and never open it and much less used it. Be honest with your self, you have at least one, don’t you?

Cal Ripken Jr talked about his 8 traits to perseverance, yes there were some baseball stories, but they were tied into his 8 traits.  His traits include the right approach, passion, love to complete and more. Get his book!

Mary Ellen Tribby, She took the popular Early To Rise online newsletter, part of Agora from $8 million to $26 million in just 15 months, talked about how she took $10,000 of her own money and started WorkingMomsOnly.com ann turned it profitable within the year.  She shared her top 10 business building relation tips. She also talked about the 3 phases of a business – Planning, Launching and Ongoing.

There was more. I met some new people and best made connects to help grow my and my clients businesses.

Dan came back in the early and talked about the points we need to think about in developing the psychology of marketing a seminar so that can have the attendance to make this profitable. This can also work for free events and local chamber workshops and seminars were from 5  to maybe if your lucky 20 people show up.

Well it’s getting later and tomorrow starts up again at 8 am with Stephen Beck and advanced webinar  strategies.
